Tree: | The tree bears fruit every year on a medium-productivity level. A mature medlar tree reaches almost 26 feet length. The leaves are dark green in color and oval-shaped. |
Fruit: | The meaty fruit is covered with the floral receptacle and has a structure similar to plums. The wild ones are smaller. Inside the fruit there are hardened seeds. The skin color turns into brown when the fruit matures. The flesh has a dark brown color. The first time you pick it, it has a harsh taste but in a while it gets softer and tastier. |
